Squad Modules installs and activates like any other WordPress plugin. This guide walks through the system requirements, the two install methods, and the first steps to take once the plugin is live on your site.
Before you start
Squad Modules is built for the classic Divi Builder and shares Divi’s own baseline. Confirm your site meets these minimums before installing:
- WordPress 6.0 or later
- PHP 7.4 or later
- Divi, Extra, or the standalone Divi Builder plugin, version 4.13 or higher
You can check your PHP version under Tools → Site Health → Info → Server in the WordPress dashboard.
Install from the WordPress dashboard
The quickest way to install the free version is straight from your site:
- Go to Plugins → Add New.
- Search for Squad Modules for Divi.
- Click Install Now, wait for the download to finish, then click Activate.
Install by uploading the ZIP
Use this method for the Pro ZIP from your purchase, or when you have downloaded the free ZIP from WordPress.org:
- Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
- Choose the
squad-modules-for-divi.zipfile and click Install Now. - Click Activate Plugin once the upload completes.
After activation
A new Divi Squad item appears in your admin menu. From there you can enable or disable individual modules and extensions, activate a Pro license, and open the built-in documentation. To start building, open any page in the Divi Builder and search for a Squad module by name.
The free plugin ships with 50+ modules and 5+ extensions. Upgrading to Pro unlocks the Pro-only modules and extensions — no reinstall or reactivation required.
