A module that is not in the picker is almost always one of six things. Work down them in this order, which is the order that takes least time.
The six checks
- It is switched off. Open Divi Squad → Modules and search for it. Twenty six of the sixty eight ship switched off, so this is the answer more often than the other five put together: ten of the twelve form stylers, all four Auth forms, Lottie, Gallery, Before / After Slider, Flip Box, Business Hours, Post Carousel, Post Reading Time and five of the text modules. Toggle it on and press Apply & save. Staging the change and walking away without saving is the most common version of this problem, so watch for the save bar counting your unsaved changes.
- It is a child module. A child is not a registry entry of its own. It is declared inside its parent, so it has no card on the dashboard and no place in the module picker. Timeline Item, Data Table Row, Tab, Panel, Step, Image Hotspot Pin, Chat Button Channel, Post Element, Carousel Slide, Logo Slide, Logo Item, Pricing Plan, Team Member, Testimonial, Share Button, Skill Bar Item, Business Day, Comparison List Item, Inline Content Item and Floating Image are the twenty in the free build. Add them with the parent’s Add New button instead.
- Its required plugin is not active. Every Form Styler module names the exact plugin file it needs, and the module is skipped during registration unless that plugin is in the active list. Deactivate Contact Form 7 and the Contact Form 7 module leaves the picker until it comes back. The WPForms styler accepts either the free or the paid build, because its requirement lists both.
- It is a Pro module on a free install. Premium entries are filtered out of the registry before Divi sees them, so a Pro module on a free install is not hidden, it was never registered. Its card carries a PRO badge and a disabled switch, and that badge reflects the server side decision rather than making it. Activating a licence is the fix, and it takes effect on the next page load. Only eight of the twenty one Pro modules appear as locked cards, so do not read the absence of a card as proof a module does not exist.
- It registers only for the other builder. Fullwidth Advanced List and Fullwidth Advanced Blurb, both Pro, register for the Divi 5 builder only, so they are absent from the classic builder by design and their cards carry a DIVI 5 ONLY badge. The Display Conditions extension is Divi 5 only for the same kind of reason, and on Divi 4 it prints an admin notice saying so rather than failing quietly.
- Divi itself is too old, or not there. Below Divi 4.14.0, or with no Divi theme and no Divi Builder plugin active, the plugin registers nothing at all. You will know, because the Divi Squad menu opens a Requirements screen instead of the dashboard, checking the theme and the Divi Builder plugin separately for installed, activated and version, and marking each row OK or FAILED.
Still missing
Reload the builder before concluding anything. The module list and the form lists are both assembled when the builder loads, so a change made in another tab is not in front of you yet. If it is still missing after that, write to support with the module name, your Divi version, and which builder you are in.
