Author Box, Icon Box and Social Share

These three modules cover blocks that most sites need on posts and landing pages. The defaults below are what a freshly added module starts with.

Author Box#

Author Box shows who wrote a post. By default it uses the author of the current post, so the same Author Box shows the right name on every post it appears in.

  • Layout is Horizontal (the default) or Vertical.
  • Author User ID pins a specific author. Leave it empty to use the current post author.
  • Show Avatar controls the picture, and Avatar Size runs from 20 to 300 pixels and defaults to 96.
  • Show Name controls the name, and Name HTML Tag defaults to h4.
  • Show Bio controls the author’s bio.
  • Show Posts Link adds a link to the author’s posts, with the text View all posts by default. Show Website Link adds a link to the author’s website, with the text Visit website by default. Both links open in a new tab unless you change their target to Same Tab.

Icon Box#

Icon Box is a feature card made of an icon, a title and a short description.

  • Element Type is Icon (the default), Image, Lottie or None. For Lottie, upload a .json animation or paste its URL. Loop Animation is on by default.
  • Title and Body hold the text. The starting values are Your Feature and a one-line placeholder sentence, so replace both.
  • Show Badge adds a small label above the title. Badge Text defaults to New.
  • Box Link URL makes the whole box clickable. Leave it empty for a box that is not a link.
  • Icon Placement is Top (the default), Left or Right, and Content Alignment defaults to center.
  • Icon Color defaults to #5E2EFF, and Icon Size defaults to 48px.

Repeat the module in a row of columns to build a features section.

Social Share#

Social Share is a row of share buttons. It is a container: add one Social Share Item for each network you want.

  • Share Source is Current Page (the default) or Custom URL. Custom Title and Custom Description are passed to the networks that accept them.
  • Show Header adds a title above the buttons, and Header Title defaults to Share this.
  • Button Style is Icon Only (the default) or Icon + Text.
  • Open in Popup is on by default, so the share dialog opens in a centered popup window.
  • Orientation is Inline (Horizontal) or Stacked (Vertical). Columns runs from 1 to 8 and defaults to 4.
  • Button Shape is Square, Rounded (the default) or Circle. Hover Effect is None, Fill (the default), Lift or Scale.
  • Icon Size defaults to 18px.

Each Social Share Item has a Network, which defaults to Facebook, and a Custom Label that replaces the default network name when the style shows text. Turn on Use Custom Colors to override the network’s brand colors for one button. Button Background on the container overrides the brand color for all of them.
